I am pleased to announce that I am a candidate for the Michigan State Senate 14th District seat in the August 2010 Primary. 

 I possess those qualifications as well as the knowledge and understanding of State government. I will bring to the Senate my experience as an active and vocal member of the House Appropriations Committee, as well as my appointment to three Appropriations sub-committees and service on the House Investigations and Intergovernmental Affairs committee during my first term in the Michigan House of Representatives. In addition I also serve as the Democratic Caucus Associate Whip. I am now more than ready to make the transition to the upper chamber of the Michigan Legislature.

The 14th Senate District includes - Farmington, Farmington Hills, City of Southfield, Lathrup Village, Oak Park, Royal Oak Township, Ferndale, Huntington Woods, Pleasant ridge, Hazel Park, Beverly Hills, Franklin, Bingham Farms, and Southfield twp.
